The Partagás Serie P No. 2 is a 156 mm by 52 ring gauge Figurado (pirámides) boasting an appetizing colorado wrapper and a good draw.
On the cold draw, notes of pepper and leather greet the senses.
The first third begins quietly but quickly gives way to dominant leather aromas, complemented by fresh herbs, mushroom, and earth. A generous volume of smoke carries hints of chocolate.
The second third sees a very gradual increase in strength. Leather and pepper remain prominent before notes of wood, licorice, and roasted coffee emerge. The smoke thickens, with a creamy sensation on the palate. Draw and combustion are excellent.
The final third delivers a powerful finish, showcasing a rich Cuban terroir bouquet of wood, leather, pepper, and earth. A touch of spiciness fades with the degassing.
