The Partagás Serie E No. 2 is a grand robusto (duke) measuring 140 mm by 54 ring gauge. It features a fragile and slightly dry claro colorado wrapper with a firm feel.
The cold draw reveals woody and vegetal notes with a slightly tight draw.
In the first third, the cigar ignites with a slightly green woody flavor, accompanied by thin smoke. Subtle hints of leather emerge within a well-controlled strength.
The second third develops into toasted cocoa notes—something not often found in this cigar—while the body steadily increases. The combustion remains flawless.
The final third brings little aromatic evolution, maintaining a controlled power level.
Having returned to better form since last year, the Serie E No. 2 still lacks the aromatic depth to surpass four rings. Nonetheless, it delivers a very good overall experience.
