The Partagás Línea Maduro N° 1 is a robusto measuring 130 mm with a 52 ring gauge, wrapped in a shiny maduro leaf. The wrapper feels firm to the touch.

Cold draw reveals rich earthiness, with hints of vegetal and woody notes. The draw is somewhat resistant.

The first third opens gently with soft toasted aromas carried by a smoke that starts light but quickly thickens. Cocoa and earthy flavors come forward beautifully, while last year’s noticeable pepper is now very discreet.

In the second third, earthy and spicy aromas dominate with good intensity and power, accompanied by a slight astringency.

The combustion remains flawless throughout the third third, which develops into a spicy and woody ensemble with cocoa notes lingering in the background. The finish is astringent.

Though not as lively as in previous years, this No. 1 remains a very good cigar with a powerful and satisfying profile.
