The Montecristo Especiales No. 2 is a slender panatella measuring 152 mm by a 38 ring gauge, wrapped in a slightly wrinkled Colorado Claro wrapper. The cold draw presents very light dry undergrowth and roasted notes.
The first third opens immediately with flint stone aromas followed by delicate hints of Armenian paper. Grilled and roasted aromas soon take the lead.
In the second third, balanced strength supports increasingly intense woody notes and deep cocoa aromas that add a smooth richness. The smoke is fragrant and indulgent on the nose.
The final third becomes fuller-bodied but remains well-controlled, with a darker profile that lingers on the palate. Animal notes enrich the aromatic complexity.
