The Hoyo de Monterrey Double Coronas Gran Reserva Cosecha 2013 is one of the most prestigious limited releases from Habanos S.A.’s Gran Reserva program an expression of patience, aged tobacco, and traditional Cuban craftsmanship at its highest level.
Selected as the 2019 Gran Reserva release, Hoyo de Monterrey Double Coronas Gran Reserva is crafted using tobacco harvested in 2013 from the renowned Vuelta Abajo region. The term “Cosecha 2013” refers directly to this harvest year, with all tobaccos aged for a minimum of five years before rolling, followed by additional aging post-production.
The Gran Reserva designation represents the pinnacle of Habanos S.A.’s aging program. Each year, a single regular production cigar is selected and re-released using extensively aged tobaccos. Gran Reserva cigars utilize tobacco aged for at least five years and are presented with a distinctive black and gold secondary band, signifying their rarity and elevated status.
Unlike standard production cigars, these releases are produced in strictly limited quantities and packaged in specially designed boxes, making them highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts.
