Frequently Asked Questions

Most frequent questions and answers

How does the charge appear on my bank statement?

It depends on which method of payment you use. We use a variation of “LCDH”. We accept payment via credit card, Zelle, and other digital forms of payments, depending on what is accessible and safe in your country. Please email us to use any type of payment other than a credit card.

Will the box I receive have a broken seal?

No, every box of Cuban Cigars we offer is closed and inspected by the Cuban Cigar Group to ensure that it didn’t get damaged during transit from our La Casa Del Habano Partners. When you purchase cigars from us, you will rarely have an issue. Should you not be satisfied with your cigars, please let us know, and we will contact you to get a solution promptly.

Are Cuban cigars more robust than any other cigars?

Cuban cigars indeed have a particular taste, which makes them distinct (most specialists agree its the best), but you can find cigars varying from light to full body in strength. The soil, climatic circumstances, and skillful knowledge of Cubans give a Cuban hand-rolled long filler cigar, complexity and delicacy gained in no other cigar.

Does the appearance of the cigar affect the taste of the cigars?

Cuban cigars have various wrapper tones. The blend of the Cuban cigar is the same despite the wrapper coloration. Wrapper coloration will not affect the strength or the taste of any Cuban cigar (wrapper leaf accounts for about 3% of the overall flavor). Remember that a cigar’s age will have far more impact on the characteristics and power of your cigar. A young Montecristo No.2 (0-6 months) will not taste, burn or have the same characteristics as a Montecristo No.2 with three years of age just as it will not taste, burn or have the same as five years of age.

Why do the wrappers look slightly different when I buy more than one box of the same cigar?

Excellent question—and one that speaks to the artistry behind Cuban cigars. Each cigar is handmade, and while the blend remains consistent, the wrapper color can vary. In fact, there are up to 23 recognized shades of wrapper leaf. During Cuba’s rigorous quality control process, master sorters meticulously select 25 cigars of nearly identical shade to go into a single box. This ensures uniformity within the box. However, when purchasing multiple boxes, you may notice slight differences in wrapper tone between them. That variation isn’t a flaw—it’s a testament to the natural, handcrafted nature of the product and the care taken to honor tradition while working with organic materials.

Why are some cigars difficult to draw?

As these are hand-made products, you may occasionally notice slight variations among the Cuban cigars you purchase from our company. Each cigar is unique—a product of skilled hands and natural materials. That said, a tight draw should be rare, as each cigar is tested for airflow before the wrapper is applied.

If you do experience a firm draw, it’s most likely due to conditions during transportation or storage—humidity can affect the cigar’s structure. We recommend allowing the cigars to rest in a well-maintained humidor for at least a week, or even up to a month. Remember, a cigar is an organic product—a living thing that responds to its environment.

If the issue continues after proper rest, we’re here to help and ensure you’re fully satisfied.

Will the cigars be ready to be smoked when the cigars arrive?

Your cigars will arrive within 7 to 14 business days. You can smoke your cigars the same day you receive them. Nevertheless, for an ideal smoke, we do suggest that you allow your cigars to rest in your humidor for up to a week to recover from shipping. Cigars are living matter, give them time, and they will mature.

Why are prices different from one website to another?

Cuban cigar prices can vary significantly from country to country, largely due to differences in taxes and import regulations. In Latin America, for example, cigar taxes are generally lower, which can affect retail pricing.

While our prices may be slightly higher than what you might find in Cuba or on certain websites, that margin exists to ensure we can provide the consistent quality and service our clients have come to expect since 2008. We may not always offer the lowest price, but we offer peace of mind, tradition, and a level of service that takes care of you every step of the way.
