Cuban Cigar Group — A Legacy at the Source
At Cuban Cigar Group, authenticity is not a claim. It is our foundation.
We operate a retail cigar shop in Havana, Cuba, placing us at the source of the world’s finest Cuban cigars. We also own and operate an authorized La Casa del Habano in Madeira, Portugal, giving us a real presence inside one of the most respected official retail networks in the cigar world.
From Havana to Madeira, our commitment is clear: deliver only genuine Cuban cigars, handled with the standards, care, and expertise they deserve.
Established Since 2008 — Serving Aficionados Worldwide
Since 2008, we have served cigar enthusiasts around the world with consistency, discretion, and experience.
Our portfolio includes many of the most respected names in Cuban cigars, including Cohiba, Montecristo, Bolívar, Partagás, Punch, Hoyo de Monterrey, and Romeo y Julieta.
These are not simply cigars we list online. They are cigars we source, handle, and stand behind.
A Real Company With Real Locations
Cuban Cigar Group is not just a website.
We maintain a retail shop in Havana, Cuba, and we own an authorized La Casa del Habano in Madeira, Portugal called LCDH Madeira. These are real operations, serving real clients, with a long-standing presence in the cigar world.
In an industry where many businesses rely on vague claims, borrowed credibility, or unclear sourcing, we believe trust starts with being direct about who we are and how we operate.
Why Havana Matters
Operating directly from Havana keeps us close to the source.
It allows us to remain connected to the place where Cuban cigars are received, presented, and experienced at their origin. That proximity gives us access not only to globally recognized lines, but also to limited releases, harder-to-find boxes, and rare cigars that may never reach many international retailers.
Being in Havana is not just part of our identity. It is part of what makes our access and knowledge different.
Our La Casa del Habano in Madeira — What That Means
We do not simply work with an authorized La Casa del Habano location. We own and operate one in Madeira, Portugal.
That is an important distinction.
La Casa del Habano is one of the most recognized retail concepts in the Cuban cigar world, created for select retailers operating under official standards for presentation, storage, and handling.
Owning and operating an authorized LCDH location reflects a serious level of commitment, infrastructure, and credibility. It means we are not speaking from the outside. We are part of that retail environment directly.
At the same time, we believe in being precise.
Owning an LCDH does not automatically mean a company is a global distributor, an international wholesaler, or that every cigar sold online comes only from that single shop. LCDH stores are primarily retail-focused and operate within the territorial and distribution structure established by Habanos.
We Own One Location — And Work With Others
Our Madeira LCDH is one part of our structure, not the whole story.
In addition to owning and operating our authorized La Casa del Habano in Madeira, we also work with other trusted channels and relationships within the Cuban cigar ecosystem. This allows us to serve our clients more effectively, maintain continuity of supply, and access cigars that may not always be available through one single location alone.
This is how serious operations work.
The important difference is not whether a company mentions “partnerships.” The important difference is whether it has real infrastructure, real access, and the experience to operate consistently over time.
We do.
Export Reality — Why Structure Matters
This is one of the most important realities in the Cuban cigar business.
When a company is operating completely outside the proper structure, it may be able to move small quantities from time to time. But exporting at meaningful volume is another matter entirely.
Many try to work outside the system and quickly discover the limits:
- Small quantities are easier than sustained volume
- Shipments can be delayed, flagged, or stopped
- Inventory becomes inconsistent
- Scaling becomes difficult or impossible
This is not theory. It is one of the reasons so many businesses struggle to build consistency in this category.
When you are moving only a few boxes, that is one thing. When you are supplying clients over time and handling larger volume, structure matters far more.
Real-World Example
We have seen firsthand what can happen when businesses attempt to move Cuban cigars without the right structure in place. In our article, Cuban Cigars Confiscated, we explain how even companies trying to export only a few hundred boxes can run into serious problems when operating outside the proper channels.
That kind of risk affects everything: delivery, consistency, trust, and long-term viability.
The Habanos Festival — Access the Unattainable
The Habanos Festival is more than an event. It is the beating heart of Cuba’s cigar culture and the most recognized international gathering dedicated to premium Cuban cigars.
Held in Havana, the Festival brings together collectors, retailers, distributors, media, and aficionados from around the world for five days of launches, seminars, tastings, pairings, factory visits, plantation visits in Vuelta Abajo, and gala evenings dedicated to the most important releases of the year.
It is also one of the clearest examples of why Havana remains the spiritual center of the cigar world. While Habanos reports its global business through international markets such as Europe, Asia, and the Americas, the Festival keeps Havana at the center of the conversation when the most important new releases and experiences are unveiled.
Whether you attend in person or prefer to work through us, this is where rare cigars, limited editions, and highly sought-after experiences come together.
We encourage you to visit our Events & Tours Page to learn more.
If you cannot attend personally, we may be able to help secure access, coordinate participation, or assist with select opportunities connected to the Festival and its surrounding events.

Why Our Model Is Different
Our model is built on real operations, not marketing language.
- A retail cigar shop in Havana, Cuba
- Ownership of an authorized La Casa del Habano in Madeira, Portugal
- Additional working relationships within the Cuban cigar world
- Years of experience serving clients since 2008
We are not claiming to be something we are not.
We are saying something much more important: we have built a real business with real presence, real access, and real continuity.
Consistency, Access, and Trust
Because of this structure, we are able to offer something many cannot: consistency.
That means better access, stronger continuity of supply, and a more reliable experience for our clients. It also means we are positioned to serve serious cigar buyers who value authenticity and long-term trust over vague promises.
For us, this business has never been about appearing established. It has been about actually being established.
A Promise in Every Box
Cuban Cigar Group is more than commerce.
It is a direct connection to Cuba, to tradition, and to the craftsmanship behind every cigar. From our retail shop in Havana to our authorized La Casa del Habano in Madeira, every box we deliver reflects that responsibility.
That is the standard we have upheld since 2008.
